Juta is located 20 km from Stepantsminda, in the municipality of the same town, at 2200 meters above sea level. Juta is famous among hikers because of its hiking trails with mesmerizing landscapes. The starting point of the hiking trails in Juta isn’t accessible by car. Travelers either walk uphill or take a horse. Each of the ways is equally beautiful. You walk and get lost in the sun, greenery, mountains, and total calmness because there is nothing that will connect you with modern, chaotic life. Especially for those of you who are tired of big cities and a dynamic world, here you can find a safe harbor. Even if you are not a fan of hiking, you can just relax in a small café with a perfect location. To give you an idea, the café Fifth Season is located on the mountain over Juta, right in front of the cliffs and a tracking trail, and right under the sky. Any time of the day or night, you can just sit on one of the cozy chairs, relax, read a book, and drink some coffee, wine, or beer, depending on your preference. There are several hiking trails in Juta. One of the most popular can be done in 3 hours, and it goes until the beginning of a Chaukhi. Others continue for several days and cover the neighboring historical province of Khevsureti. In order to reach Juta, hiring a 4X4 car from Stepantsminda is advisable; otherwise, you can walk in the direction of village Sno. From Sno, there are 12 more kilometers to Juta.
