During this tour, you will visit:

Day 1

1. On your arrival, meet your guide at the airport in Tbilisi. Go to your hotel for a short rest, and in the evening, have a very special walking tour of the city. During our walking tour, you will see the most important parts of old Tbilisi. You’ll start the tour at Metekhi Cathedral (XIII c.) and the Isani neighborhood, which was a royal residence in the Middle Ages. It’s a perfect place to enjoy magnificent views of the old city. Then you will take a cable car to the mother fortress of Tbilisi, Narikala (VI c.), one of the first constructions in the city. From Narikala fortress, you can see the whole city and enjoy crawling on the walls of the fortress. After, we’ll take a walk down the mountain to see the Sulfur Bath district and the only mosque in Tbilisi, where Shia and Sunni Muslims pray together, before moving on towards Shardeni Street. On the way, you’ll see Sioni Cathedral (XI c.), Anchiskhati Church (VI c.), Gabriadze puppet theater, etc.
2. Overnight in Tbilisi

Day 2

1. After breakfast, meet your driver and start your tour to Kazbegi. The Georgian Military Highway will take you towards the Caucasus Mountains. The first stop is Ananuri fortress (XIV c.). It is built on the conjoining place of two mountain rivers, overlooking an emerald-colored Jinvali water basin dipped into the mountains. Lots of mysterious legends about those towers are still preserved by our ancestors. The road will continue towards the mountains, and on the way to Kazbegi, you will stop in the ski resort of Gudauri, where one can enjoy beautiful views of the mountains or enjoy skiing, snowboarding, or paragliding (depending on the season). After Gudauri, continue your way to Stepantsminda and Gergeti churches, standing at 1800 meters above sea level. After visiting Gergeti Church, head back to Tbilisi.
