Just 20 minutes’ drive from Mestia, on the way to Hatsvali, there is a small hamlet called Heshkili. Heshkili is located at 1900 meters above sea level and 6 km from Mestia. Heshkili is a very popular destination among local and international travelers, and the reason for this is the captivating landscape of mountains and evergreen forests. This is a place nobody wants to leave. On top of a mountain, with views of snowy peaks and forests of Nordmann Fir trees, where Caucasian Ibex live, you can find a hut, coffee, and a swing. In this wonderful place, even just a small walk will make people feel that they can fly; however, the swing of Heshkili is very special. The swing is quite high from the ground; as you swing, you appear several meters above ground, where between you and anything tangible is a huge space. You feel that you can touch the sky and the mountains, which look like a beautiful picture right in front of you, but in reality you are hanging over the vast space. The only thing that catches you are two pieces of chain, and nothing else. Sometimes one might need to wait in line, specifically if it is a high tourist season. Heshkili is very popular among influencers and photographers. So if you are one of them and if you enjoy finding picture-perfect spots, Heshkili is definitely a place for you.
If you fall in love with the hamlet and one day is not enough for you, “Heshkili Huts” can accommodate you. There are six huts with a shared kitchen and the capacity to accommodate 23 people. It has a lovely terrace and a bar.
