Recently, Italian YouTube Channel "Nova Lectio" did shootings in Batumi, Adjara promote its tourist potential.
An educational documentary about Adjara is being prepared and will be published in mid-December 2024.
Tour manager Ana Abuashvili and media collaborator Mariam Pakatsoshvili are helping the Italian media in discovering the sights of our country.
“We have been in Adjara for several days and are amazed by the hospitality of the Georgian people. We filmed the mountainous Adjara and the tourist and historical zones of Batumi. The film crew visited the Adjara highlands, Khulo, Shuakhevi and Keda, where they got to know the way of life, tolerance and traditions of the locals. Footage shot in mountainous Adjara will also be featured in the clip.
The story will also feature the political structure and separatism of Adjara, the development of local businesses, the historical significance of the port and the scale of international trade.
“We recorded local businessmen, historians, anthropologists… We also showed our Italian friends in the mountainous Adjara how Muslims and Orthodox Christians coexist. We made them taste real Georgian, authentic dishes, introduced them to the history of our country and the current way of life. I think an interesting and historical, documentary-like story will be prepared, which will once again demonstrate the main advantages of our country on the world stage” - Mariam Pakatsoshvili, media collaborator.
The main goal of preparing a video about the tourist locations of Adjara is to popularize our homeland.
"Adjara is one of the most distinctive corners of our country, with its customs, nature and people. It has immense tourist potential. For five days, Mariam and I hosted the Italian media, we showed them all sides of Adjara, starting with the mountainous villages of Adjara and ending with the gambling industry. It is worth noting the support of our respondents and Adjarians, which we felt at any moment. I would like to thank everyone, and we will see the results soon"! Ana Abuashvili - Tour Manager.
This channel (Nova Lectio) is watched by about 2 million people in Italy, including our Georgian immigrants.
